Drove on CA 41-120-168 then NV 368 to US 95 and 50.
Drove through Yosemite today. Did the valley route and saw the meadow, Half Dome, and El Capitain from its base. After all the big trees, the huge rocks were quite a change. We also got a glimpse of where the famous waterfall would have been if it weren't so dry.
Leaving our motel from last night we drove through orchards again before the park. We stopped at a look out point when leaving the park and looked back at where we had been, quite a sight. There must be some law that all national parks are in mountains and you have to drive twisties to get there and to leave.
We drove through Tioga Pass to get into Nevada. The west side of the park is lush and green. This side is dry and brown. In Nevada, we drove by the Hawthorne Supply Depot and through the Nevada Test Range. Despite the warnings about low flying aircraft, I didn't see any.
In Fallon, NV tonight and tomorrow we drive router 50, The Loneliest Road in America.
