Missed making an entry yesterday...and yesterday was an interesting day. It started out in North Dakota in a miserable place called  New Town.  We had stayed there overnight in an overpriced casino and made our exit early. However the exit was far from swift because we got in traffic going 10-15 miles per hour because of road construction. I have never seen so many big earth moving rigs in one place ever. And... We were stuck for a,long time. Eventually we got out, went thru the Little Missouri National Grassland, stopped to take some pic (see blog pics) and then entered Montana via route 2. What a spectacular road, light traffic, no police and big sky country all around you. We had a great run right into the east entrance to Glacier Park. 

We stayed in a hostel last night just outside of Glacier.  For most it was the first time, for some it will be the last.  We all slept in the dormitory which was a room full of bunk beds and not much else. We survived that and the single men,s b-room with one unreal, one toilet and two showers for maybe 15 men. Needless to say we were all up early on Sunday. Nice breakfast and then the off to the road to the sun. It bisects Glacier Park and is the only road thru Glacier.  Unfortunately some of it was under construction which meant mud and rocks for road. Meeeesssssyyyyy!  The weather was beautiful so it seems like everyone in Montana decided to go to Glacier and do the road. Very crowded and, in addition, there was some kind of a sports car tour with lots of jags, Porsches F-cars, MGs, and other exotics also doing the road.....and getting muddy due to the construction on the road. 

After finishing the road to the sun we had lunch and then some of us took to doing a trail walk. We did not see any bears. We then decided to leave the park and visits a local whiskey maker to do some sampling and purchase several bottles. After that it was on the road to Bonner's Ferry, Idaho where we found a great hotel and an even far greater Mexican Restaurant. The food and service were outstanding and the owner/chef was an amazing women.  

Tomorrow off to Seattle where  the weather is suppose to be outstanding for most of the week. What luck for a visit to the Olympic peninsula. The journey continues. It's all able the drive and the people you are with.
