Left WA and into OR. Great views of the Pacific as you can see from some of the pictures. Staying in Newport tonight and will be heading further south tomorrow. We will probably stay in Gold Beach and spend some time with my daughter's in-laws. Possibly seeing him play at a local place. Maybe stop at some of the sugar shacks that Becky wants me to get diabetes at.
Starting odometer was 4342 and we did 236.6 miles. Some of that was down to the beach and back, down to the restaurant for dinner and back. US 101 all the way.
And we washed the cars. They aren't perfectly clean, but they are a lot better.
A couple unique things today. One was a pharmacy that was also a liquor store. The second was a sign pointing to the right that said came cemetery and a few feet later another sign that said recycling center and pointed the same way.
The water is very cold.
Just remember to balance with protein! That's the key to extreme sugar intake. And taste testing rather than actually buying... You're going to love the drive down the South Coast, it's so beautiful! See any whales? Baby seals? Are you making sure you all pronounce it Oregin not Oregon? (I know, I know.) Looks like you haven't joined in with the Oregon uniform yet: hoodie, cargo shorts, socks & sandals. They'll think you're native. Watch out for the T-Rex & remember, there ain't no hurry in Curry...
